The Mountains To Mangroves Corridor flows from Everton Hills via McDowall and Bridgeman Downs to Moreton Bay via Cabbage Tree and Downfall Creeks.
Wildlife in the McDowall / Bridgeman Downs area in North West Brisbane includes platypusses, wallabies, koalas and more wildlife.
Platypusses are sometimes seen in the area, mainly north of Albany Creek Rd on private property.
Platypusses are also sometimes seen in the South Pine River.
However, sightings are very, very rare.
Platypus DNA is the most reliable way of proving their existence in any body of water.
